Hey, not bad for someone new to drawing all together. I think you definetely have the basics down, no major crits here, but do have a few suggestions. I would move his ear down a bit...seems to high to me. Also, his left eye (our right) is too high considering it looks like his head is slightly angeled downward. So, drop that eye down some so that it is not level with his right eye (our left). Also, his right eye needs some more shape. If you reference his other eye, you can see you have the shape more defined and not so oval. Apply that same idea to his right eye so it's not so oval. Lastly, I would make his nose not so round. You have the nostril itself down pretty good, but it's too large as in round. Slim it down some so it's more of a straight line from the bridge of the nose down and not rounded out so much.
Overall though I'm impressed for a beginner to draw that good starting off. Keep it up and just work on some small details and you'll have this stuff down in no time. I've been drawing, more sketching for years, and I am my own worst critic to the point I have not put any of my stuff up here yet...but soon I hope. |
