Thats beautiful!
Keep with it.
Question: Do you do art as a living, for a class, do you photograph art and pencil it or did you whip this out through studies of sea turtles?
I want to hear the story =)

i think you would get more out of it if you lightening some areas and darkened more like the sea turtlesleft front flipper.

Thank you thank you. =)
Visionary: I do art for a high school class. But I AM extremely interested in the field! The sea turtle was done from a color reference in Nation Graphics magazine; so I didn't take the photos. These images I posted are taken from a Sony Digital Mavica Camera. Ew. low rez.. I hate low rez, but that's the best I could get my hands on.
Dangermouse: Thanks for the crit, I agree with you. Now that I look at it a bit more, it does seem the joint of the right flipper and some other areas need more definition and darkening in. + white spots. Good good. I'll work on it, Then show you guys. |

So when you say you are interested in the field, what part of it are you into?
Personally I'm leaning towards concepting. I should be posting some stuff within the next couple weeks. Its going to be some conept drawings for a board game that I've been assigned to do. To sum it up I have to draw up 16 war units of different stature (blah blah blah) yeah so anyways, check for that. |

Ah. =)
I am glad someone likes it.
It's all done in Pencil.
HB pencil for initial sketching of the proportion and shapes. Then 3b to fill in major shapes. Then 6B and 8B for the dark area.
The paper isn't that great... just normal light illustration paper. It's got more than usual grain to hold the graphite. |

Visionary, frankly I am into EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that has to do with art. I like sculpting, sketching, 3D modeling, painting, graphics, logos and web console designs. Heh heh. |
