im a newbie but, should his nose have the highlight? it appears his cheek bones would block out the light on his nose.. . |

It should have a lighter are but the values shouldn't be as light on that side as they are on the orange side |

Very cool style!
I'm not quite sure if this is what you are going after but watch out for how flat his face still appears. The light is extremely sharp thus takes away from soft shadeing that even old men will have around their face.
I like it though. Keep it up =)

don't let the center of the head dissapear into the background. I would lighten it otherwise looks like a hole in the head.
