Hi!
I've been visiting this forum lately, but i decided to post something only today :P
I've done almost only 3D stuff, but i got excited to do something with my wacom instead of textures :P
Here's my second attempt to digital painting, i think for the second chance i had good results :P
No concept here, i only wanted to pratice painting.. and the guy is a bit weird, i know hehe..
I haven't realized yet how to do sharp and clean lines, and i think it's kinda blurry.. but with pratice and your tips I can do it.. so, thats it, here's the buddy.
hope you like it
and for those interested in 3D, here's my last and unfinished project: http://orbita.starmedia.com/~eyesdesign2/drum.jpg

Hey Phob,
You might wanna try making the figure more solid in appearance. Use a hard edge brush to go in and define the outline a little more, and give it some good highlights/shadows. Right now everything sorta smudges together. I like the nose, I think it would be better with a hard shadow underneath though. The white lines around the top of his lip seem a little weird and he doesn't have much cheekbone on his face
Try hardening up those edges and re-posting. And look at a photo reference of a basic man's face to try and correct some of the anatomical issues (width of eyes, brow bones, etc... )
I hope this helps!
Beth
