Is anybody else sad about Charles Schultz passing? I grew up watching the Peanuts specials on holidays and such, and always read the comic in the paper... I think that he was so talented to have touched so many lives with his cartoons. |

I remember when I was in fifth grade, my brothers and I were sitting at the table together eating breakfast before school. My oldest brother was sitting next to me, I looked over at him and he was convulsing. His head threw back and he started trembling, I was so afraid. Then he fell on the floor, he was shaking and drooling and my mother thought he was fooling around. (She is stupid) But he was having a Grand Maul Seizure. When the seizure ended, he was obviously very upset. (up until that morning nobody knew he was epileptic). Our aunt came over, and sat with him. The only thing that made him relax was her story she told him. She told him a story about Charlie Brown, and how he had epelepsy too. I don't know if it was true or not, but it was still very sweet. |

Yeah, he was awesome. He had a big influence on me because he lived around here so he was a bit more known to me than others while I was growing up. I remember when I used to go to Snoopy On Ice, and he'd usually make an appearance. It kind of creeps me out that he would die the day his last strip is published.. OK I'm rambling.
Anyway he was great. It's really sad.

I really loved Charlie Brown. I rekon it was the best comic ever. The character Charlie was cool, just this typical confused boy going through life.
Plus Snoopy was the man

Right on Snoopy and Woodstock were so cool. Everybody has a bit of Charlie Brown in them, I think. |

I prefer Scooby & the Gang, but yeah, I remember all those Peanuts specials on TV, and it saddens me to hear of his passing.
He will be missed.
On a side, and only vaguely related, note,
The TICK(spoon!) says Arthur(his sidekick) has Charlie Brown Karma!

Ive been trying to explain to my friends the drug humor in Scoobydoo for awhile, but they just dont get it!
Look at the period during which to 'toon was made! They always had "the munchies"!

Yea, And why do we never get to see what Fredy and Daphnie are doing when they split off from the group?
Just use your imagination. |

bahahahaha
My boyfriend mentioned something about that not too long ago when we were watching the Scooby Doo Marathon thing on Cartoon Network... it was pretty funny, like a version of the Blaire Witch Project. Which, in my opinion, was not scary enough. Or at all for that matter....
