this is my first piece of art, only use mouse, in photoshop...crit is welcome. does anyone know where i can get painter 6? hm... thanx

You seem to have the eye detail down pretty well. I would thin out the eye lashes some though. Use a thinner brush or create a brush, which ever is easier. Are you using Adobe? If so I would also suggest putting your lighting for the eyes on a seperate layer and then dropping the Opacity of that layer to about 50-40%. The lighting now is too bright and you should be able to see the eye behind it. Overall though very good for a first time. I have not put any of my work up here yet because I don't feel I have any worth viewing yet, so good start man.
