this is my first pic... with a mouse... i want a wacom so very badly... where can i get painter? i want it bad... then i can do oils and whatnot...any way.... any crit? yea!!!!!!

Maybe the Highlights are a bit too overwhelming, and maybe some sharper details wouldn't hurt on the iris itself. Are you using Photoshop? maybe if you try putting the highlights on their own layer and reduce the opacity a bit, or even make them a little smaller.

thanx unit... i am using photoshop... but i didnt think about layers... hm.....i will try that. and i will try the smaller highlights
