This is about an hour's work into the illustration for this short story: http://www.gorblimey.com/rubbish/storia.txt . I've got to go to work now, so I'll finish the picture some time this evening.... Maybe tomorrow. Depends how tired I am.

Wow! That's really creepy. Anatomically, it's not perfect, but that ain't the point. Good job!

That hair and wispy stuff is "all that"! If you can sharpen up the rendering on the details, you'll have something that will not be believed! |

Oooh, Socar, I love it! That's probably no great shock, though.
I really like what you've done with what's left of the skin, it looks so goopy. Maybe it's head might be in danger of looking almost a bit golden.
Personally, I'd add a whole load of grubbiness and grime to that robe.
Can't wait to see more of this!

Augh...on second thoughts, I won't be finishing this one.... Don't much fancy having it look like someone else's stuff. I'm working on a few others, though....

Oh, OUCH! You like it because it...looks like it was done by...someone...else. Ouch. Wince. Pain. Augh. Argh. I know you didn't mean any offense...but.... OUCH!
The resemblance wasn't intentional. (In fact, it was someone else who posts to this forum whose work inspired me more for this image...I think he knows who he is....) But this picture has suddenly and totally lost all appeal for me. Not, of course, that I don't like Enayla's work. On the contrary--she's great. But I don't fancy being mistaken for -anyone- else.
So, kaput on Marley v. I, onwards to...Marley v. II...I have to have SOMETHING to show for class next Tuesday....
Ouch.

Hehe, thought the title seemed a bit familiar.
I really like it, though, it's a shame you don't want to do more with it. Mind you, I have little room to talk, with an entire graveyardful of unfinished pictures littering my computer. I think the comparison between this picture and Enayla's work spawned mostly from the fact that you're both so good with hair.
shardik: If you have a number sticking out of yours, it may, in fact, be a good thing that it fell off. |

I don't think it looks like my work at all!
I really like it, it's a pity that you won't finish it =|

Yeah, I have to agree Socar. The hair thing is the only similarity I see between your and Enayla's pieces and I don't think I would ever confuse this for her style so don't worry.
I know what you mean, I don't like people telling me my style looks like someone else's either. It always makes it sounds like you're a copy or something
This is a really nice piece, it's very creepy and the character looks great. I hope you finish
