Hello, talented people. I've frequented these boards a little bit and the talent here is astounding to say the least. I haven't posted here before because frankly, you guys are too good for me, lol. My artistic tastes are quite shallow, even for a comic book artist. I'm a 22 year old penciler making a living out of this stuff, I haven't been to any art school but I plan on doing so at some point in the middle of my career. Right now I'm only doing backgrounds and character design, so technically I'm an amatuer in the world of comics.
Here's a sketch I did for my girlfriend. Its her character design for her D&D character. Its definitely not a "finished piece" as you'll note there is no BG, random cropping and no composition. Still, its a character design sketch and she was thrilled with it, so here it is www.geocities.com/velnarinbelmont/selina.jpg

That's some pretty sweet linework, dude! It's very nice. I don't know if it needs to be colored, but I would like to see it inked, definitely

Thanks a lot, guys! I would have responded earlier but I forgot to check off the "notify me in Email" box, lol. It seems a couple of people on these boards want to color it, so I'll be posting the inks(not done by me...hopefully) next week. As far as school goes, I gotta pay rent, so I need to work. Plus, I've learned a lot working for the past two years steadily doing art, i don't want to stop that until I feel like I'm not learning anymore. At that point, I'll go to school, an as of yet untapped well of information. BTW, I posted this in "Finished work" which is where it was supposed to be in the first place. Even though this is just a sketch, not a finished, composed pinup, it is a finished sketch . I'm not touching it anymore, the rest is up to the inks and the colors. |
