I like the girls, awe. The only crit I have for the guy is that his abs are too wide. The abs take up only about half the surface area of the abdominal region. I've done some studying in the mirror( ). I could blather more, but i'm sure you're not interested. |

Might just be me, but I get the feeling that there's something wrong with his nose... the (his) left nostril especially... it's as if it's just a little ball there, no actual skin for the nostril. Just looks a bit odd =)
plus, isn't the ear a LITTLE short? (here I am giving YOU anatomy lessons )
excellent groovyness other then that, I really like it =)

Strata: your right the nose is a bit awkward... Ive always had trouble drawing noses for some reason.. so trying to shade one didnt turn out that great I guess... but thanx...
[edit]oh and the ear is supposed to be covered a bit.. guess i didnt get that across too well either..
and hey.. sometimes I get anatomy issues wrong too..
anyone else got some praises??

Nicely rendered, but I agree about the abdominals.
I would look at the collar bone. the bones usually aren't that straight, they have more three dimensionality. They actually have a slight S curve.
Although the anatomy of the legs are nice, unless you're drawing Bruce Lee, they won't be that ripped.
I like the feather and the hair, nice touches.

Almost forgot, the first girl has great perspective, well done.

Hi awe, nice sketches!
No. 1: Nice shading and pose. The face appears a little big making the head look too big itself, something that happens to my drawings all the time. The hands are nice, too.
No. 2: Great perspective and nice feel to it, my fav of the three. The seems to be slightly skewed/the eyes misaligned. It' not much, though. And her crotch looks odd...
No. 3: The flaw I see are not as much the legs than are the hips, which should be wider, IMO. And she lacks ankles. 'Part from that it's nice.
Looking forward to see more from you (and the result of that damn tile game!! )!
PS: care to look back at my mascot? did an update and would like to hear your opinion. |

I really like the expression on the hunter's face. He is depicted a bit differently than most hunters I tend to see. Usually they look really blood thirsty like all they do is thinking about killing things all day. But your guy looks really content, he looks like he's really lovin' life. |

Well, here you go.
As you can see, the abdominal muscle aren't all that wide. Hope this helps, awe.
BTW, when I am going to get that tile? |

Awesome.. thats a great chart.. lol!!
actually Im saving that one..
thanx
I should know all that.. but I guess I just needed it pointed out once again...
somebody once told me that and artist needs to make around 5000 mistakes before he becomes good...
[edit] meety: I used to draw guys with that blood thirsty look all the time but I wanted to draw a content look for a change because everything is always bloodthirsty... I think its harder to draw a content guy than a blood thirsty guy..
-awe
your tile will come as soon as I get Andromeda[*] and grumbles tiles in. patience young grasshopper!!

Awetopsy: I think this is the first time I've actually seen any of your work on Sijun and I have to say these sketches are very nice indeed! The female anatomy in your pics is generally better than the male anatomy. Though I guess we tend to study females more, if you catch my drift .
Not much more I can say that hasn't already been said. Nice work! BTW - Check out Anthony's website for the online version of one of Andrew Loomis' anatomy books if you haven't already. It's a good book.

Great skecthwork, my own problem is that the anatomy of the first and third sketches seem a bit off. Otherwise they look fantastic. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
