Wow! Very cool, lines, concept and all. The pink coloring is a little...unusual, but what the heck.
The only thing i might crit are the IMO a little too big holes in the a little too thin shell of the gun muzzle. But that can do no harm to the expression of your pic. |

Bizarde,
I saw your lineart and just had to color it up, I hope you don't mind. The combination of the figure's pose as well as the simple, yet elegant column drew me in. I have to say that this didn't turn out at all like I had originally intended. The strong line-work started me in the direction of more of a graphic style, with a really dark background and surreal colored lighting from off frame. I originally had the figure being hit primarily by a strong spotlight from above and behind - like he was turning to see who'd just turned on the lights. It looked pretty cool, but the complexity of the 'machinery' on the figure wasn't working in the 'nightmarish' lighting I'd set up (too contrasty) and the details you added were too cool to not show fully. I'd just seen a Discovery Channel show about the Greek Isles and they always seemed to show the ancient architecture at twilight for a dramatic, single-source lighting effect and thought it might be cool to carry that feeling into the color-up. So I did a quick experiment with a 'twilight' mood that would allow me to show off the details and before I knew it kinda took on a life of its own. I had no intention of getting so 'detailed' in my color up, but again, it just worked out that way. I realize that I altered your original linework substantially, but I believe I stayed true to the feel of your awesome figure.
