Another card game illustration sketch. This time I need help on the background. The character is supposed to be using his psionic abilities. I wanted the space around his head and out to have a hazy distorted feel to it, but it isn't powerful enough without background detail. The setting of the game is a post-appocaliptic, fantasy-sci fi type thing. So, if you can think of any interesting backgrounds, please post away.

I think you captured the emotion quite well! There are some anatomy issues of course, mainly with the hands. The hand on the right looks too small or something... I am not very good at drawing hands so I can't help too much.

But I think you did a great job showing that he's concentrating on something really hard

hmm..doesnt look like his fingers touches his head - maybe u should draw a shadow or something...
hmm..in the background - make lightning in some cool colour or something =)

if you change the shading on the hand a bit (make in eminate from the finger tops), the hand should be fine. All in all a funny pic
