I think i'm caught in a discworld trip... Sergeant Colon and Corporal Nobby watching hard in Ankh-Morpork harbour (you know, in case any pier got stolen...)

[img:2e32f571ed] http://perso.wanadoo.fr/alain.puget/Pics/GUARDS3.JPG [/img:2e32f571ed]

My first serious attempt with painter from the start, I usually sketch my pictures with Flash... Using Painter is quite cool but DAMN i'm slow : 2h30 so far.

Judging by the speed of my work... Rincewind should be coming mmmmmmmh, let me see... in'a couple o'years. Still, I'm having fun with this piece. See how it's nearly fin.. compl.. ahem... less empty.

The demand being what it is in favor of the completion of this piece. Here comes the next stage... with a BACKGROUND!!! WoW.
Feel free to comment the (rather slow) evolution.

More more!!!

Jerry, it's really easy. Here it is in six easy steps.

1)Open your computer's case.
2)Pour a bunch of paint (preferably oil or tempera) onto the inards of your machine.
3)Turn your computer on.
4)Curse the dickens when it doesn't work.
5)Sacrifice three Pygmy virgins to Satan, but only while speaking Czechoslovakian.
and finally...
6)Shave the first three layers of skin of your genitals and then masturbate with rubbing alcohol as a lubricant!

*Note: If you can't find Pygmies, Mexican midgets will also work. If you happen to be all out of rubbing alcohol, skip step 6 all together. Instead, pick up a small Asian crack whore from the "bad" part of town. Take her home and force her to sit down and watch all 12 hours of the Speed Racer marathon on Cartoon Network while you run around the place with mothing put tinfoil and saran wrap duct taped to your legs singing Willy Nelson songs off key.

AAAAArrrgh it's too hard, too damn hard *sigh* No!!! I can't use painter properly to finish it... Well, switched back to the good ol'Photoshop. Ahhhh feel better, i missed my hard-light mode so much

And now the next episode of the Colon and Nobby picture show: first layer of refining.

Yawn... what time is... oops 3.am, time to sleep don't you think?

It's cool. Good progress. But one doesn't recognize the difference without comparing them real close.

Maybe you work somewhat more on it and then post it in the Gallery.

I recognized the difference. I saved both on my hard disk and swich thru em with ACDSee. And I liked the process. Good work with the added houses and the faces.

Cool!

I love discworld. This is great! The colors in the last one look very right for the scene.

I saw the latest version on some other board already. I dunno if I posted there. Well, no comments anymore. It has come a long way. And I'm glad I was there from the beginning.

Wow.
I wish I had something insightful to say, but I guess I'll have to leave it at this:

That image rocks my world.

Corporal Nobby definately lives up to his name in one way But shouldn't he be uglier and wartier and nastier? Awesome artwork anyway, brilliant, it actually pisses on the stuff by the usual cover artist!!!!!
