the product of waching castaway this weekend...

This is a lot like the tree i did a while ago, but I tried using smaller brushes. *ahem*-erm.... yes well, here it is:

Well they're really blurry and smudgy. Kind of hard to make them out. Try using the paintbrush to give it a more solid feel.

I think the sky looks a tad to bland - and the colors aren't strong enough.

I like the first one best - keep working on it.

One thing: GET RID OF THAT SMUDGE TOOL

It would really look better if your thing had harder edges. Maybe you get rid of that airbrush too and try the paintbrush.

And don't smudge it afterwards.

Amen. The smudging on that guy is insane. Sharpen it a little, or stylize it in a different way IMHO
