I decided to redo a old sketch of mine. This is the result so far. I got one problem, how can i add good effects to the hair and cloths? Have tried some stuff with dodge/burn and the airbrush but the result was crappy. Plz help. Other crits are also welcome.

the dodge and burn tools dont work very well at all, at least in my experience. Try picking colors and then painting them directly on where you think they should go. Or if you want a more anime look, make a selection and then fill it with the appropriate color. I can't really give you any tipes on exactly how to choose what colors go where, because I'm not so great at it myself.

just me but: always put everything on its own layer, and if you forgot to, or didnt for some reason, go back and cut them out and then paste them on a new layer. then turn all the layers on "preserve Transparency".

too keep the anime look i would say use the normal 3 color method...base color, highlight, and shadow. cause it really does look best on anime characters...

heh, i forgot what the post was about...umm, ohwell, ill hit submit anyways..
