Hi this is my first posting here, so be gentle. :) This picture is part of a series I'm working on. Its called T�kelandet in Norwegian and I hope it will become a cd-rom game or just a webtoy, with weirds sounds and characters, as well as some fantasy instruments placed throughout the landscape. The grass is rendered in 3d studio max by my friend Rune Spaans, and the rest is drawn and composited by me in Photoshop. The fog is just two layers of noise over a dark grey and "burned" background. Hope you like it, I really dig the mood of it.

awesome. the only thing that tipped me off that it wasnt a photo is the grass. it seems to sparse. maybe if you blurred it a little too...

Thanks! Well, i have made quite few of these, and some of them has a little more grass. It's really easy this pictures, becase everything is mostly hidden in the fog, I only want to give a hint that something is sitting there, or moving around. I don't know if you have been outside in weather like this, but its very quiet and nice in the fog, but cold and wet to, and owls are hooting and you hear the flapping of birds flying but you can't see them.
