I've been really inspired by Flexible Elf's DUNE pics, so I thought I would add a quick one of my own. For those of you unfamiliar with DUNE, the Beast Rabban is an baddie allied with the sinister House Harkonnen.

I was listening to the theme music to DUNE (Brian Eno) on Winamp as I was doing this pic. Probably one of the best things about the film (though we'll not start that debate ).

I think there are a few problems with proportions, perspective and lighting on this pic, though I hope people can point out some more.

Spooge, if you read this, could you upload that pic you did of the Baron Harkonnen and put me in my place. I'd love to see that pic again.

Hey, nice pic. The face is great. It's the best part of the whole image. I love the fat rolls on the collar.



The only issues I see are with the lighting. The face seems to have a different light source than the armor (the armor light source is higher). Also, parallel light rays would cause the shoulder plate's shadow to be cast further over the chest. His right shoulder pad would be almost completely in shadow.

I really like the shadows on his face and that alga/moss(whatever) looks good but imo his armor might need a bit more shodows. Great img!
