I cannot access to any of the artists' pages, so I guess it must have gone away.

The funny thing is that the scarce links I had to some pictures still work, so the images are at the server still.

Anyone knows anything about this great site?

Err no, man. It is still there. I can view it perfectly, without any troubles.

When this occurs, and like you say, you can still somehow access the images on the server, it usually means there is server trouble either on their end, or on yours. It probably isn't reasonable to assume that because you can't access a page for a little bit that it has been obliterated from the planet.
