more details perhaps. it could be any number of problems.
you could try saving your image as a different format, opening that image and then trying to save it out as a gif. it could also be your gif settings.

| is it an animation? Photoshop always open the first frame of a gif file, and maybe the first frame in your animation is blank. |

You guys are awsome. This could help me meet my deadline.
James: I tried saving in a different format -.bmp and then into .gif, but no luck.
Eyewoo: I have never attached an image before, so I have copied down the information on the settings:
Pallet: Exact
Colors:3
Forced: Black and White
Transparency is checked.
Matte: none
I also tried going into image ready to save them as .gif's, but no luck there either. Both screens come up black.
Dr. Bang: It is not an animation. It doesn't matter what I am trying to save into the .gif or compuserve gif format. Neither works.

Problem solved-by default.
I reinstalled Photoshop and now GIF works!
I was at least able to tell from your responses that this was not some normal thing that I was doing wrong, but perhaps an actuall problem with the software.
