I have no idea if this would work or appeal to anyone.
Myself and a mate have just released our first version of a multiplayer gaming mod for Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The mod is set in the Wild West where players take on the role of bandits or cowboys and shoot the hell out of each other.
Seems to be going down quite well. A couple of computer mags are going to put it on their cover CDs and there have been around 10,000 downloads of the mod - although we've only counted 134 people playing at one time so don't know what the other guys are doing!!
Our attention will soon turn to creating new maps for people to play on. We have plenty of ideas but not being an artist as such, I lack the ability to create visuals of how I imagine a map to be. Obviously this would be highly beneficial to develop an idea for a map prior to building it.
Would anyone be interested in working with me to create visuals for the game levels? I have not done this before but it seems like a better aproach than the one I've been using (ie diving straight in to it!)
This is a free mod for a commercial game so in other words we work on it for free and then the public can download it for free. Not sure what my motivation is to do this but here I am!
So all I could offer is credit for your work and showing your artwork on our website and perhaps this would
give you a portfolio piece should you wish to get in to creating visuals/artwork for computer games.
Not sure I'm really selling this well but I guess I'm looking for people who are motivated primarily to see there artwork turn in to a virtual 3D level that ultimately people will enjoy shooting the crap out of each other on! Well I guess that's why I'm doing this!
You can check out the game as it stands by visiting www.the-wildwest.co.uk or drop me a line at [email protected] and I can go in to more detail.
Adios! |

I dunno nothing 'bout yo mad MOD yo - but I bet you forgot to implement teh classic of all wild west f00tage: A WHORE HOUSE FILLED UP WITH TASTY CORSET WEARING BITCHEZ complete with pinned french twists.
And don't forget, there's always high-life goin' on in those western shag shacks - piano music is obligatory.

Haha, not got the whore house, although you'd be surprised how many people have asked for this! But we do have the obligatory saloon with piano player. Not only this, if you shoot him he changes his tune ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
