i know this gets asked all the time, but i think my version of the question is a little different so i'm going to ask it again. i'm not actually applying to any art colleges as far as i know, but i'm supposed to get some kind of portfolio together to prove to the colleges i'm applying to that i actually do stuff. i'm thinking just get some of my work together and put a little blurb under each piece about it. does it need to be bound in any way or on some kind of good paper? i dont think it needs to be as good since i'm not majoring in art or anything, but i dont want to look sloppy. |

the one i have to send is has to have 24 finished works, all photographed and made in to slides, certain kind of slides too, placed in a 8x11 slide holder.
then i have to write an essay describing something about my art, or my process of working or something.
but that is for the portfolio i send in to new york somewhere to get critiqued.
the one i want to send to the local art college (Alberta College of Art and Design) is something along those same lines.
check around the college/uni's website. they should hve some stuff up. |

thanks dude. i was just asking because its not required or anything. all they said is 'send us some artwork if you want.' i figured i would to prove that its something i used to put a lot of time in, so it doesnt look like i'm just writing down things to look good. |
