Hello, I have been wanting to get a tablet for quite some time but I do not know much about the subject. I am just a 14 year old with around $100 to spend.
If any of you have any good tablets to recommend it would be appreciated.
Seen on this forum most people like the Wacom Graphire....
Anyways thanks |

Well, I'm your age also, and when looking for a tablet, you may also want to consider how often you're gonne be using it. I have the Graphire 2, basically because I use it for fun, I notice that people with the giant ones are using them for more than drawing, and are older. Anyway, if you're spending 100 bucks, a Graphire costs about 150 Canadian, a new one, so you may wanna check for some used ones, or pitch in some more money for a new one, or add a few hundred dollars for a Intuos, which has more features and is more advanced than the Graphire. You should check the wacom site, and take the test-y-thing there which pretty much guides you. Also, for the size, the Graphire's size is pretty dissapointing, you get what you pay for, but really, once you start using it, and get adapted, it really isn't bad. And I'm SURE that there are at least two or three more threads discussing this common blunder. |

Hi Lexmir,
The Wacom Graphire2 is $99.95 U.S. Take a look here:
http://wacomdirect.wacom.com:80/wacomdirect/graphire2.asp?
Also, try writing to, or calling, Wacom to ask if they're still selling refurbished tablets and if they give student discounts.
I know people have mentioned buying refurbished tablets from Wacom in the past and the reduced price was pretty good.
Good luck! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
