This weekend, I acquired myself a copy of Painter 7 for my PC. Well, after installing it, I booted to program, and found that the colors were totally messed up. The white background displayed as green and the windows were all messed up. System specs are as follows: 500MHz, 128 MB RAM, 8 MB video card. Now, as far as my video card goes, I updated the drivers when I got Warcraft 3, so I think it would be okay. Any ideas? This is really frustrating. Thanks! |

Hi,
The very easy and simple solution is to change your screen colors to 24 bit or higher.
Enjoy Painter! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

*smacks head* I must slay the first-born child of whomever changed my settings from 32-bit to 16-bit color. I hardly noticed a difference between the two during my daily activities. Thanks ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Glad to hear it worked. Isn't it great when things are so simple? ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

It happened to me too. Turns out that sometimes a game would change your desktop during gameplay and not change it back. |

now ive got something similar, but im not currently at home to check. but i noticed in PS6 that, since i got it even, the icons for the tools just looked like static in a small box! different coloured ones at that. sound like the same thing at all? the rest of the colouration is fine though.
ill have to check at home when i get there. if thats not it, any other ideas? |
