I think that intuos2 is very expensive.
I found a cheap used Intuos1 model Gd-1212 (a4+). so i wonder if it makes some differences using this comparing with the newer Intuos2? I look at specs.. it's same, i think..
but please tell your experiences with wacom tablets
Will I forget Graphire2 tablet if I search a tablet of good quality? i have high requirements |

Intuos 1 and 2 tablets are practically identical as far as features go.
Intuos 2 tablets are of course purple/gray instead of light gray like the old ones.
The main improvement in Intuos 2 as far as I know is that the tablet is no longer sensitive to monitor signals, so the cursor doesn't jitter when the tablet is close to the screen. |

One more reason to get a flat screen. |

1. Intuos1 and intuos2 mouse and stylusses are not compatible.
2. Intuos2 has this strange purple color.
3. Intuos2 is more pressure sensitive than its predecessor but this improvement is not really measurable.
4. Intuos2 has this strange rubberwrapped stylus that becomes smeary and dirty over the months.
5. I love my old intuos1. But i have to use an Intuos2 at work. Really annoying, this rubber-pen sucks! |

Tomasis... the 12X12 might be a little bit too big. I've heard some people aren't crazy about them. I've got an Intuos1 6X8 that I love. It's one of the old serial models before USB was out, but it works great. I haven't found reason enough to upgrade to the new one. If you can find a cheap 6X8 or 9X12 Intuos1, it'll probably be worht it. |

we have em at work, and the pen doesnt feel comfortable in my opinion. (thats why I use an old leftover Intuos!)
i couldnt imagine using anything bigger then a A5.. waay to much arm movement with an A4 (6x8) imo. |

yea i too have heard that people with the bigger tablets have more problems making uniform lines thats why most people say to stick with the smaller ones unless you really have the space for such a big tablet |
