Whenever I right click to save a JPG image, my MSIE ver 6 browser always defaults the JPG filename to filename.JPE... even though the actual name of the file is filename.JPG... Is there a way to change that??? What's with that??? What does JPE stand for??? A search brings up "Journal of Political Economy" or "Java Program Editor" or the "Java-Python Extension" Huh????

Some application you installed must have taken over the MIME type or something. JPE = JPG = JPEG ... same crap, different mood.

JD... using IE 6... That's all I have as options as well, JPG and BMP, so when I save an image, using the default JPE extension, it doesn't show up in that directory through IE the next time I save to the same directory... I often save pictures using the artist's name with an appended number... but if the files don't show up, then I don't know what appended number should be next... annoying...
