hello
where could i get some good explanation of persp. of shadows?
i found some in loomis books, but i still dont know a few things.
He gives us some examples of projecting shadows, but only on the ground.
How can i determine the shadows perspective when, for instance,i have something attached to the wall...it projects shadows too,but how?
thx for any help |

The Loomis book covers the basic concept of shadow projection.. usually determined via the base of an object and establishing a consistent angle etc...
Just think a bit more carefully about an object up a wall. If you can draw a wall and an accurate shadow being cast by it then you should be able to figure out how to position an object up the wall and make it cast a shadow. If it helps think in terms of simplifying the object in question. Extend it towards the ground, establishing its position like the base of the wall has. Then you should be able to do roughly the same thing you did to construct the cast shadow of the wall.
I don't have any specific examples. Hope this helps anyway. |
