Hi all! In a month I will be returning to highschool. Going to be in grade 11, now grade 11 have a science cource call biology. I am just wondering if I should take that course. Do you guys think biology is important to art? Please tell me what you think. Thanks!

I forgot about 99.5% of what I learned in biology, so no I don't particularly reccomend it.

but most wont have to do with what you aim at
anatomy and so on
most time youll learn how living bodys work
anatomy is just a very tiny part of it

If you plan on becoming a concept artist, all courses will help you in some way.

For something more art related that might work as an alternate class is Physical Anthropology, although that's a college course so it might not be in there.

Much of what Biology is deals with life at scales not seen by the naked eye, either microscopic (cell reproduction, how energy is made in the body, etc...), or macroscopic (ecology, environment, etc..)

Overall it's what interests and captivates you. I personally loved biology, and that lead to me taking 10 credit hours of medical illustration in college with an emphasis on cellular biology. Fascinating stuff - to me. Who knows - you might actually enjoy it.

see if you can take Kinesiology.. its the closest thing to an anatomy lesson i had in high school
