does any one know of any really good web hosts. I need one that comes with a free domain name, a yearly fee about 100 - 200 Mb of space and 1-2 GB of bandwith a month

The web hosting I'm planning on going with is http://www.featureprice.com/
It sounds very reliable and at a decent price. The 1,000mb's of space for $$9.95 a month may be the one you would be looking for.
I think it's $$25 a year extra for your own domain name...

But it may be better to go with their premium 5,000mb service because I think you get a free domain name with that one, and it's only about $$200 a year instead of $$120 a year plus the $$25 extra per year.

they have free domain, 200+ mb of space, AND 15GB of bandwidth plus a lot of extra features like subdomains, 50 ftp accts, unlimited emails/mysql dbs/etc...

i've been using them for over a year now, and aside from some rare downtime, service is great...

I use Genius Hosting. $1/mo per GB of storage space/transfer bandwidth, with a minimum purchase of 8GB/month ($8 obviously).

BTW, do any of you actually come close to the storage space and/or bandwidth your host give you? Just curious...

i come pretty close But i've only got 20 mb of space. I use usually something like 12, but when i've got loads of temporary pictures uploaded i tend to use 18 or something. Never ran out of space though.

I can't ever come close to the transfer limit, since I don't have one. Unlimited transfers, yay! I decided to settle for less space but for more bandwidth, since I post to forums frequently and I get a few thousand hits a day due to that. And since I had to decide between finnish operators (most foreign operators require a credit card for payment), I chose the one I found cheapest. Of course I spent only something like 1-2 days looking for one

Unfortunately, I can't help you out with the original question. I checked a few sites I know but they all charge for the domain.
