I'm in the process of making a logo for my church's vbs, anyways the theme is Mission Impossible which seems to sugest a modern, clean lined logo, yet I need to make it very kid friendly. I tried bouncy letters in a word and bright colours, but its not quite working. Any suggestions? |

I worked in a day care for years, and looking at their backpacks and toys and bookbags and judging from what they liked, I would steer away from any bright colors and bold type. That is kinda cliche for kid's stuff and I see it being used less and less. I think that is what adults perceive kids as, not what actually appeals to kids.
Maybe something that suggests motion, even if it is subtle like an italicized text is enough. Something with a pictorial representation is obvious, since many young kids don't read.
I don't think you have to baby kids with bright colors and bold text in order to grab their attention.
I hope I helped a little. I am curious to see what you come up with. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Thanks Kidd!
Thank you so much for that insight. Unfortunatly the logo has to be completed early this week so I don't really have that much time to work on it. Actually, in addtion to making promotional material part of my job is to make sure the entire vbs goes together smoothly. Planning crafts and games and all that jazz.
Hopefully I'll get around to making a cartoon spy or something for the posters so that'll appeal more to the younger kids that can't read
Anyhow heres the logo thus far.
