This really pissed me off. This the most blatant rip I've ever seen. Check this out, if you haven't already "www.2advanced.com". This is the guy who ripped them,
"www.advanced-world.com". I mean this is pretty pathetic. He can't even spell
'receiving' right. |

i've seen worst, there's too many rips out there to be said, 2advanced is the most though. This is why many people are quitting webdesign, they're sick and tired of little boys ripping of their work. |

Tell me about it, I'm designing my site now and a friend of mine sent me the link. I was so pissed off. They say imitation is the highest form of flatery, but c'mon, even the navigation is the same. |

Talk about being original, this maybe the worse rip-off of 2advanced yet.
Seen other site simalar to 2advanced but this site take's the cake, maybe someone should tell 2advanced so they can get royalties of this guy.
Ahhhhh still can't believe he put up this site. |

Web design is overrated anyway.
Who cares if this guy copied the design?
If people start sueing or demanding payment because their tired out website looks like someone else's, no matter how identical, it would just confirm that the WWW completely sucks now.
Freenet, baby! |

Elam: Do you even know what 2Advanced is? have you been there?
"tired out website looks like someone else's"
Shame, shame on you....
"Web design is overrated anyway."
Oh and that makes it ok if I steal your paintings then? I mean, who cares... illustrators are overrated and besides there are a million others just like you. - *sarcasm* |

Personally, I don't care if someone steals my artwork.
I mean, it's sad that someone else is pilfering my work to make it look like their own, but, that would catch up to them eventually. I'm not about to run out of ideas.
I just think the whole flash thing is dead or should die.
2advanced certainly isn't innovative. There's literally, thousands of sites like it.
You simply can't get straight up information anymore. It's like going to an amusement park. |

elam... You're right, 2advanced is not all that innovative today, but when Eric Jordan first produced it (and a number of other sites) several years ago, it was indeed innovative... and those "thousands of sites like it" owe a great deal to that innovation.
I do agree with you about "stealing" work... I have no problem with it as long as the person gives credit, at least in their own mind -- the most important place to understand what's going down, eh! |

This kind of thing goes on and on and on...and it will continue to go on and on. If you place 2advanced alongside the "ripper", you'll see that there is nothing for 2advanced to worry about.
If it really, really bothers you, then don't complain to the ISP or registrar; send your disdains to 2advanced and let them handle the problem how they want.

Was advanced-world redesigned? Because the two sites I just looked at were only somewhat similar. |

Okay, nevermind, I gave it a closer look and realized that the buttons and headings were all the same and in the same locations. That is pretty blatant. |

Well, I had a look at both sites and besides they are both Flash sites and have the same color scheme, I think they are quite different.
I dont know what those sites are all about and I also didnt feel like checking them out cos I just think they are both annoying, slow and have a bad interface. Both bad examples for the use of Flash in my opinion. In fact I got scared away... |
