My girlfriend and I went to the Boston Mueseum of Science the other day, and they had this exhibit which was supposed to show Mount Everest during an entire day... which basically meant that you got to see how the sun moved over the mountain and how drastically the shadows changed... I figured this would be a pretty good reference for anybody who would ever want to paint a mountain, since you could select what time of day you want your picture to be, look at the reference, and paint accordingly... so I shot a video of it with my digital camera. The quality is fairly bad, but you should still be able to make out what's happening, try watching it in full screen as that might make it easier to see what's going on.
