I'm looking for contract work for book illustration projects beginning after September. I might be able to fit in a couple of smaller contracts before then, as well.

great idea, jr.
im looking for fulltime work as well, as i do mostly contracts now, and that seem to be thinning out (or just unbearably tedious or unchallenging). allmost 7 years graphic design/illustration experience. very wide range of skills. willing to relocate most anywhere as long as its warm.

great thread.... very timely in my current situation.
I was recently let go from a job that I had for three years, due to loss of huge client in the company. (which I feel is related to 9/11) and now I'm looking to retool my career direction (if possible), with influence on gaming, animation or visual effects. With a heavy emphasis on art department material, whether it be background/layout work, conceptual illustration, matte work, etc, etc, etc....
My prior experience is in the graphic/print design industry. So if something out there fits that description, I would not turn anything away. I have worked for 12 years in said industry, in positions that range from graphic designer to production supervision and senior staff illustration. I excel in photo retouch, and on the spot illustration, but enough babbling for now... see for yourself (and on a side note, my site is currently being streamlined now for more direct browsability, and the design layout has changed considerably as well.... in a short time it will be active)
my site
thanks |

Well, I'm open for freelance work from late November, and may be able to squeeze some smaller projects in before then.
