Does anyone out there know where I can host some of my images for posting to this forum and such?
Right now im using photoisland, and aside from the pics only being good for 3 months, it reduces them into a size that is way too small, it's ok for something like speedpainting, as much of my stuff in there is low detail, but I have some larger pics I would like to post, yet if I want them to fit at any size near viewable, I cannot use photoisland, so any suggestions would be good.
Also, I'm a little strapped for cash, so free hosting is kinda what im looking for... if at all possible.
Thanks,

if you have a website already, you might want to try www.unixdaemons.com... failing all else, you could resort to terrible Geoshitties, or Tripod, or something... I found www.freeservers.com to be not TOO bad... but not too good either... :\ ...sorry I can't be more help...

Here are a couple that I know of. I've had personal experience with webaxxs and have absolutely no complaints. I host my main site there. Haven't had any experience with ipowerweb, but their prices are good. If you have the cash, you can generally save setup fees by paying for a full year.
http://www.webaxxs.com/ 9.95 per mo.
4GB transfer/mo -- 200MB disk space -- 20 POP email accounts
http://www.ipowerweb.com/ 7.95 per mo.
15GB transfer/mo -- 150MB disk space -- 50 POP3 email accounts |

http://www.boomspeed.com . It only gives you a 1 meg account, but it allows direct linking of the picture so that it shows in your posts. Just... get multiple accounts or delete pics as they get old. |
