hey,
i wanted to start doin some traditional painting; do so still lives, landscapes, then do some life drawing (life painting?). I went to do some painting in acrylics, and I realize, I SUCK at mixing my colors!
anyone have any tips or (even better, probably) know any good books on color theory; or maybe/hopefully mixing colors with acrylics?
i'm lookin at my still life i have set up and i see the glass (i wanted to give myself a challenge and paint a half filled glass with some other stuff behind it, looks hard) and i just think "WHAT THE HECK COLOR IS THAT? How the heck can I make that color?!" I didn't think mixing colors would be hard, but I have practically no experience.
