While Ive had some good discussions on EFnet #digitalart IRC chat over time, they are very infrequent. So in an attempt to get more discussions going I thought I'd suggest the formation of a schedule for particular 'chat sessions' based on a time when everyone can be sure that other chatters will be present.
Being the highly international community we are, the best way to work out a time would be for anyone interested in chatting on #digitalart to list their timezone in this thread along with the time of day they are most available to spend time chatting.
If possible, only post once to this thread with your timezone (I am GMT +10), a preferred time of day to chat and maybe a comment so that we have a consequtive list of timezones to sort. I don't know how complicated this will get, but I figured it would be well worth trying something.
Oh and im not declaring myself leader of this operation either. If some of the more established heavies here can jump in and assist/takeover or whatever, it would really help things.(a lot!)
This is all in the interest of building a closer community
Thoughts? Comments? Problems? (and timezones!) |

Hehe, you're so polite, I couldn't resist replying.
I think that if you just make people aware of #digitalart on Efnet, that chat sessions will naturally develop. If we can get some traffic in there, there'll be good discussion happening 24/7. It just takes a lot of visitors. I'll go now. |
