Hi. I don't know much on this department but can your digital video create indiviual frames as images?
if you can or not your best bet is to see if your college has adobe premier(sp?)(or similar)
basicly sounds like you need a digital editing package which is what premier is.
Unfortuantly, unless you know someone who could help you, if you get your hands of that program, you'll have to get to learn it which will need more of your time.
but you should be able to splice together yout 3 10second sequences easily.
thats all I can think of, sorry I cant be of more help. |

1. yes you can do all of that with video
2. After Effects, Premiere, vegas pro and others can modify your individual frames, and do many transitions and effects. (I dont use any free software for this but there are alot of utilities out there.)

Im coming up with ideas for my final major project that will more or less determine if ive succesfully completed the foundation course that im currently studying.
My idea involves a form of live action video footage with what might be considered a form of 2D animation merged together.
The college will be supplying a digital camera which has the capabilities of recording a 10 second long video clip, the finished work will hopefully last about 30 seconds so im hoping theres a way to merge 3 clips together.
this is what i need from you guys, solutions to these problems.
1: can i pull apart the 10 second long video clips into individual frames, the format is AVI, i think. is it possible?
2: Can i modify individual frames e.g run them through PhotoShop and do whatever the hell i like to them.
3: is it then possible to put the modified frames back into an AVI format and play it like a video?
4: Can i merge 3 AVI videos into one?
any solutions that you can come up with would be a greate help, also if you know of any free software that i might need to do any of this, would also be much appreciated.
i have 8 weeks to do this in. |
