I was just in my local book store and picked up The Art of Animal Drawing by Ken Hultgren. It wasn't what I was looking for exactely but when I looked through it, it seemed great, and it made me think about one thing: Throughout my life, whenever I have been drawing, I've always for the most part ignored animals. So I figured I should get going already!
Of course I cannot take a trip to the zoo every day, so this book will come in handy. It has LOTS of pictures, most of the time Ken lets the pictures do the talking, which is great. A lot of great tips in this book, and a lot of focus on making your animals flow and have a great feeling of action - a difficult thing to achieve when drawing from life.
Anyway, if you want to improve your animal drawings, check it out. Great book. |
