I was thinking of starting to sell some of my work and though I have the printing house side taken care of, I only know a couple places to sell my wares. Sure, there's Ebay and Epilogue, but does anyone know anywhere else?
Suggestions? Thank you for any links you may know about. ;} |

Well there are several options and this depends on whether or not you want to sell your prints through the web or 'in person' so to speak. Depending on the themes of your drawings and your seriousness, you could find conventions and set up a booth at one. I was just at the Texas Indian Market and there were many talented artists selling prints and originals. Booth fee can be as much at $500 or $600 plus expenses like flight and hotels so some confidence you can do that well is good. Another option is to find stores that might be willing to sell your prints. There are a few different arrangements you can have with them, like giving them an original to sell, which they will take commission on and they'll by a matching amount (matching in $ with the original) in prints to sell.
Hope that helps at all :> |

Chris: thank you so much for the ideas! I hadn't thought about stores, really. I am making plans for the convention front, however. My big thrust with the question was strictly online sales. I was hoping to find a place where I can take orders for my work online and sell my work that way.
For me, the "originals" angle isn't so hot because aside from sketches, I'm a digital artist. So all prints and originals are alike. ;} lol. But I hadn't thought about the store angle. Thank you VERY much for that idea.
Does anyone know any online avenues tho? |

Also... check out PayPal for easily setting up credit card sales on your own website... with a shopping cart, etc. |
