Hey im a 16 year old first year animation student and have decided to try my hand at being an art freak. Is there anyone out there that uses a mouse to colour in photoshop?( im a broke student so cant buy a tablet) If there is anyone u think u could post some of your pics to give me some inspirational help so that im not thinking all the time "hey, my picture's only crap cause im usin a mouse" . so yeah.
any help would be appreciated.

"Jungle" was coloured with the mouse underneath a pencil sketch. The same for "PAN". The cowboy, the knight and the landscape are all natural media.
"Siggyprogress" isn't mine.
Yesterday, however, I got my Wacom Intuos drawing 6x8 tablet, which I found really cheap on eBay. I really got a good deal! I'm happy!

| First off let me say that thos jungle pics are racist. Secondly, dude if you're forking up the cash for animation school you better bite the bullet and get a stylus. Mine is a wacom graphire and was 99 dollars American when I bought it new. |

I second roundeye... I don't know how anyone could find racism in that image. Just looks like an explorer messing with acient artifacts or something to me, while one of the natives runs off scared by what he's doing.
And that Pan image is wonderful! I REALLY like that.
Liquid - I think a lot of people start off with a mouse, but it really doesn't hurt to save up some cash and get a tablet. Mine was under a hundred dollars. I've done several pics with the mouse but I don't know if they are worth posting... hehe, my current stuff is so much better. But I've had a year of experience between now and then  |

Using a mouse is like trying to paint with a brick. A stylus would be sweet, but Im too poor. |
