I have fell victim to the cut backs that are rampant today... the company I worked for canned me (said there isn't any money coming in............ ok, sure.... )

Well, all in all, I figure it's for the best. Sort of a blessing in disguise...

So I have finally been able to finish a complete site of my work
http://www.geocities.com/genconfusion2

Take a look and bash me with your opinions. The site is hosted on geocrappies for now, until a direction for my career hits me.

Freelance/Staff, Freelance/Staff, Freelance/Staff, Freelance/Staff... who knows??

But I am persuing alot of avenues for now to see what sounds good..

and for now I have to stick with a free crappy host until I'm sure where my future money will come from..

thanks everyone, and give me some feedback on the site design, use-ability, etc, etc...

later

Bobby

Well, since no one has bothered answering I might has well give my thoughts:

Nice site, I like the bright and colourful design. A lot of stuff there too, not sure if it all belongs together! My hunch would be to specialise on the illustrations, they are your strongest work, and drop the logos and graphic design (or host them on a separate website). Some really nice illustrations there, but like any portfolio you should be ruthless and cull maybe half of them to just keep your very best work there. Quality over quantity, always.

Hey, I'm sorry to hear that.

But that does mean you got some time to work on the site. And I like the site. Looks really professional. The only hurdle I encountered was the fact that I didn't immediately see how to navigate on the first page, the one where you give an explanation about yourself. I was distracted by the textblocks, and didn't see the "what's new" "info" "gallery"... etc. buttons at the top. My suggestion is to make them pop out by using another colour, or another contrast. I wrote a paper once for psychology, about interface design, and these simple and logical solutions are the best.
Navigation in the illustration gallery was easy. Immediately usable.
