Just recieved my Intuos2 6x8 USB tablet in the mail today.
So, I plugged it in, it installed the necessary hardware (HID stuff), the light comes on, and i can use the pen (in mouse mode, not absolute).
But after I install the Wacom Drivers (4.71-4) My tablet stops responding!!! And when I go into Wacom under control panel it states that the driver hasn't recorded any tools, and to bring a tool into proximity.
I called Wacom Tech Support and after about 2 1/2 hours of Installing/Uninstalling Drivers, Devices, and all sorts of other trials, I'm still back at ground zero.
The pen will work at startup until the Wacom Tablet drivers load up.
Tried this on 2 diffrent computers, both ending up with the same results. Both running Win98.
Anyone else have a problem like this, or better yet know how to fix it? |

Thanks Dr. Bang, but you mind going into a little more detail?
Ugh, I'm pretty sure its not a hardware prob, cause it "works" unless the Wacom Drivers are loaded into memory.
Anyways, can anyone with an Intuos2 6x8 USB email me their wacom.dat (its under your windows directory e.g. C:\windows) just want to have a look.. ![](images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |

Not yet, because on the wacom site it doesn't say that those drivers are compatible with the Intuos2 line... I might try that later though, thanks |

Ugh! Dammit! I just tried the tablet at school on a Win2000 machine and its doing the exact same thing!
That's 3 computers I've tried, with absolutely no progress!
I tried to use those old drivers, but they don't recognize Intuos2. ![](images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |

Thought this thread was dead...
I got a new tablet and it works fine.
I'm sending the old one back tomorrow.
Thanks for the help though! ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |
