I have tried to do some tablet painting, but my images turn out too smooth.
I can not paint a sharp "outline". Could anyone please help me? I am mostly using Photoshop.
Are there any tips or tricks? Do you use mystery things like channels? ^^ |

If you are referring to "edges" try using the paintbrush (hotkey "b") with a sharp edged brush. Don't use a soft edged brush with the airbrush.
This should help you along

I had the same problem with my old tablet. I was using one of those Aiptek Hyperpen Clones they now sell in every supermarket. It's not a bad pad as such, but the pen was a little... well, imprecise or something. That way, when I painted with pressure-sensitive opacity turned on, my edges seemed sort of blurry and undefined.
I have been able to reduce that problem by two things:
- A lot of practice with the tablet.
- Buying a Wacom
Of course, your problem may be something completely different... |
