I've seen several posts on this so far, or images at least, and people commenting on how its a great matte painting. but to me, it just looks like a digital painting. Is that what matte painting is?

this is hurting my brain cell.

Matte painting is the ability to maintain a serious attitude and expertise in painting place mattes for dinner ware found in restaurants. Especially Chinese food places, they always need matte painters, but always make sure on the flip side you design a puzzle to color or my favorite "connect the dots" !

Good luck with your new career, and keep a straight face when you do it!
