one of the many things I'm not too good at is the creation of good looking foliage in my paintings. Anyone have some good tips/techniques/tutorials on how to form good looking trees and brush? If you can post them here, It'd be greatly appreciated  |

One thing I found was that it works very well to work from dark to light.
Make a big dark smear where your foliage is going to be and then paint lighter leaves on it and then some highlights. How you do that is all up to you though.
I used to actually make a new layer with a drop shadow effect and then paint leaves on like crazy. That was when I was a texture artist though. And I usually had someone breathing in my neck waiting for the texture. I'd like to post some examples. But I can't upload right now. Maybe later.
I'm not really an expert on this. I just learned it from Bob Ross or whatever his name is. It worked for me though. |
