I have downloaded but haven't installed this product, but it has great reviews, so thought I would post it for anyone who might be interested.

| RamDisks have been around for a long time. Some high end media houses have computers which use a harddrive to store data only as a back up when the computer is turned off, otherwise it runs completely off the RAM. Also at a recent expo, a company was showing off a new type of RAM designed to completely replace hard drives (does not loose data on power down, but isn't slow like EPROMs or SmartMedia and similar techs). This program will in fact speed up photoshop several times ... if you've got a shit load of RAM. |
