ok, this has been bugging me for a while now. Does anyone know how you can easily flip through fonts with constand updating on the canvas, in phshop6 ?!? ....this was possible before so.

cuz chopshop 6 is so damned powerful.
yeah sure it's a memory whore, but it's REALLY good for organizing and optimizing the tools, brushes, styles, ect...
it's cut down my design time by half at least... once i figured everything out about it.

frostie, hehe...
Haven't you experienced the improvement on the brush sensitivity ? Maybe you have, but when I put the brush option to stylus on size and opacity, it becomes like painter...and that's the part of phshop I've missed and the part painter I like....hmm, maybe it has been possible to get these settings before, but, I didn't even know you could make custom brushes before 6 months ago

Bah-humbug!
Joa: We haven't purchase Photoshop 6, as I advised against it from the posts found here about it being slow, memory pig, and all the web-friendlyness I can definitely do without. Are you saying it's GOOD? If so, I'll give it a try... |

I hate how Adobe feature creeps Photoshop just to keep the shareholders happy with new versions.
How much better can a program get before it starts getting worse? |

ps6 is the best. the ones that came before it are worse. BETTER vs WORSE - its the battle of the century! |

At least try the demo before you shell out all that dough, Frost. |

Ditto on that! I am annoyed to no end right now by PS6! Especially right now. I am trying to paint and the smudge tool is just not working with me right now. I am having to sacrifice resolution (went from 300 to 150) just so it would render before they come out with PS7. Eesh!
*stomps off to look for Painter...* |

I miss my 3.01, but 6.0 seems a bit more stable, even if it is a memory hog-master. |

Why did this thread come back after more than a year? Anyway. =]
Roundeye: Are you being serious? I haven't played around much with it because of all the changes they made, which gets me swearing too much and augmenting by blood pressure; misplaced tools, changed shortcuts, changed functionality, changed layer treatments, etc... I don't see how it's better for the average 'painting' (aka, non web designer) artist. And it's not like they "fixed" PNG support or added 16bit per channel image editing capabilities that would make me change. I'm going back to Koala Paint...
Snarf: I did, but I get annoyed too easily -- call it old age (or sexual frustration, either of the two, or both.) I'm quite content with Photoshop 5.5.
S4SB: Uh, thanks... (I think?) Indeed, I do use photoshop.
(stupid resurrected thread). |
