Can anyone explain how to use the Graphic Desing ruler to mesure picas, points and inches? (i just dont understand)

I'm not sure I get your question...

I believe its....
12 points to a pica and 6 pica to an inch.

But I havent been in a typography class in ages and I dont do lithograph printing...so I could be wrong. But I am pretty sure thats the correct info.
