here's a tute i made about photoshop, but it could apply to any program. they all have the same basic filters, just a few different names, but you should be able to figure it out for yourself.
just read through it, give it a try. if it's not what you're looking for, sorry. :-\

i don't know any specific corel tutes, sorry

Thanks for the tut.... I'll try to translate it to Corel.... if I can.... I already know the basics of this program... there are just some things I can't do that I can only do in photoshop...

I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the white on my line art and just leave the black outline of the image. I tried to translate the tut on this site but I just got confused with everything....Do any of you know how to do this in Corel???

lol... the tutorial is a complete joke. i figured you'd notice with the "create image" filter that, from a stick figure, automatically creates the Mona Lisa... or the comment "becoming an artist isn't an overnight thing. it takes at least two weeks" lol...
here's something i found, haven't checked it out for usefulness though http://www.visionary-voyager.com.au/corel/photopaint/web_works/part1.htm

just go to your favorite search engine and search:
+"Corel Photopaint" +tutorial

check sites like flashkit.com or flashplanet.com they have tutorials on them, and i think for stuff other than flash.

Rico: painting in Photo-Paint is basically the same as painting in Photoshop, except that Photo-Paint has more filters and better brush controls.

The key commands and interface are different, but the principles are the same.
