hello
i've been having some concepts for a painting i want to do.
i was thinking of painting something religious, but not the typical "jesus on the cross" or "birth of jesus"
i was thinking about the antichrist coming, and one of the theories is that he'll show up in a UFO, which i find very interesting and actually quite possible.
I was thinking about having a man coming out of a UFO, followed by some aliens.
In front of him there will be a men down on their knees in fear...
on the left will be a white man, symbolizing USA/north america/western europe. next to him (further right) will be an african man, symbolizing africa, to his right a middle eastern man, to his right an asian man.
All of them will be "on their faces, in fear" as the bible puts it, except for the middle eastern man, who will be really excited (although still bowed down to him) because he thinks he's the messiah.
The "messiah" will be the center of interest, and will look very kind, as if saying "don't be afraid" know what i mean?
i know the idea sounds weird... but it's just an idea i had in my head.
edit> i forgot, the other idea for my acrylic painting was a lady and her b/f sitting down by a creek. They'd be sitting on a rock or on a fallen tree, with a nice pretty spring background.
The first pic has more meaning though... but this IS going into my portfolio, so i would want something that would look nice, maybe have some meaning, be impressive, and also NOT make me look like a freak (i mean, aliens and a guy coming out of a UFO... i'd be sent to the loony bin)
What does everyone think about these ideas?
I was also thinking of painting my past demon-sighting experience, but it'd just be all black, and that'd be dumb to have it all black in acrylics. I'm definately going to do that one in photoshop though...I can already imagine the basic concept and composition. I wonder if SVA would accept Photoshop as an acceptable medium?
Any input on any of the ideas is greatly appreciated
