You'll need to learn perspective for drawing things like that. I don't know of any specific sapce ship / tech tutorials so you just need to generally learn more about drawing. For resources...hmmm just movies and games, are the only things I can suggest as reference and ideas. |

The best thing to do is study real machinery and get a feel for what it does/ should do. IMHO the very best tech concepts must look as if they were built to fulfill their function, not just look pretty (although if its a luxury cruiser that might be one of its functions) Its a little hard to tell someone how do do that.
Keep studying the "model" (real-life objects that fulfill the same function or equivelent functions (trash trucks/tanks/aircraft carriers, etc or study sci-fi models of designs you admire).
The more you have a natural sense of how something looks which performs the function desired, the more you have the ability to incorporate those elements and the believability they bring into your design.
(This of course can only apply to sci-fi in an abstract way at times as some functions such as a hyperspace drive for instance, are impossible to find real life equivelants for. This is still an important aspect of design nonetheless)

Get creative! Study stuff and you'll end up copying your references. Sketch and scribble until you get the feel you want...find your own way of drawing stuff without watching other's work too much. This way you'll end up with the most original designs.
Just look at my site. Anybody could see i watched too much starwars before modeling those spaceships...It took me a long time to get rid of the SW-plague infesting all my art.
First, get your own style and find your own ways of designing scifi-stuff, then watch other ppl to get inspired. |

Yeah.. learning perspective comes in the process of drawing mechanical/modular stuff and knowing what to draw is also very important, like what makes sense to include in certain kinds of machinery.
